Fallingwater by Camryn Darkstone

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

One of the greatest builds I have recently visited has to be Fallingwater by Camryn Darkstone. Set in a gorgeous location, the build includes informative and interesting facts about the home which are accessible by clicking the various cubes scattered throughout the sim.

This is a highly skilled and detailed build which I strongly encourage everyone to go visit and support. You can find Fallingwater at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Music%20Atoll/23/55/30.

Camryn was also recognized at the 2010 Frank Lloyd Wright Virtual Museum Prairie Style Build-Off as a joint winner in the the pro building class.

Points of Interest: Frank Lloyd Wright Virtual Museum

Thursday, December 3, 2009

One of the most interesting places that I have recently explored is the Frank Lloyd Wright Virtual Museum. Second Life offers a unique and perfect venue for learning more about one of the world's most iconic figures in architecture.

I ventured forth to the Museum on assignment for Designing Worlds who taped their most recent episode from the Museum. Saffia and Elrik met with CEO Frey Bravin, Assistant Director Rosalie Oldrich, and Education Director Barbara Collazo.

I encourage you to visit the Museum in Usonia (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Usonia/6/4/22) and give yourself plenty of time to explore every square meter.

For more information on the Museum, visit their web site at http://franklloydwrightvirtualmuseum.ning.com/.

I have added the set of photographs that I took for the show to Flickr.
